The world is facing economical, financial and health hardship at a global scale as well as on an individual level. Nations are going through economic challenges and countries are spending a very significant amount of funds in fighting with the same and flattening the curve of corona positive cases nationwide. Not only this, it has impacted so many industries and businesses and brought them up at a situation where either they are laying off the employees or wounding up completely. As per a report, around 74% of businesses are claiming either slowing down or shutting down their business in the next six months.

Resultantly, more than 120 million people have lost their jobs in the month of April. Of the 122 million who have lost their jobs, 91.3 millions were small traders and labourers. But a fairly significant number of salaried workers - 17.8 million - and self-employed people - 18.2 million - have also lost work.

There is an Arabian proverb: He who has health has hope; and he who has hope has everything.

Give it a read once again and let’s think about the key words to be paid attention during this adversity in the above maxim; Yes, you got it right! They are ‘Health’ and ‘Hope’. This time requires hopefulness that everything’s gonna be alright and a little more care of our health. We all are going through mental stress due to the financial crisis, sluggish lifestyle and a fear COVID-19. Thus, we should follow a lifestyle to keep ourselves healthy by following preventive measures suggested by Indian Medical Association & World Health Organization, meditation and exercises.

People are experiencing the economic turmoil, because people have lost their jobs, facing salary reduction, loss in business, business shutdown and what not. People are using their emergency funds to run their businesses and feed their families. The time has come where we need to realize that we need to cut-down our expenses and use money only in essentialities. We are undergoing a stage where we only need to fulfil our needs and should avoid extravagances by investing the money in luxuries. We should fight the situation by being strong and keeping a hope that “Everything is going to be alright”.
